Barry’s Classic: A Great Cup of Tea

July 30, 2008

Barrys Classic is a premium tea with a full-bodied tea. It is stronger than Barry’s Gold. The tea come in a dark red, almost brown color box. Barry’s Classic brews a dark brown color. The tea is available in tea bags or Barrys loose tea.

Barrys tea blends tea from Kenya, Rwanda and the Assam valley in India. About 80% of the tea used is African tea since this tea works particularly well with the Irish water. Each type of Barrys tea is a different blend of these teas. Blending various types and amount of tea creates different tastes. Various Irish tea brands blend tea in different combinations. Barry’s has approximately 34% of the Irish tea market and is second to leader Lyons. Barry’s tea are still blended and made in Ireland.
