Your cup of tea can make a difference. A good commercial from Lyons Tea.

Big applause to Lyons for teaming with the Rainforest Alliance and focusing on sustainability and workers who pick and grow the tea.  Another reason why purchasing a brand of tea ensures the tea you drink helps to make the world a better place.

An Excellent Video on Tea & Health

January 9, 2009 by teadog

Tea is very healthy for you.  But some of the information about the health benefits of tea can be confusing.  We found  an excellent video summarizing tea and health.  We cant show the video yet on our blog so you will have to go to Dilmah.com to watch it.  Once you get to the page, look for the video on the right hand side of the page toward the bottom.  Make sure to watch the video in full screen mode since it is small.

The video is about 6 minutes long.  It is very worthwhile. Once we get permission to use the video, we will put in here (we want to act above board).

You should visit Dilmah’ s web site. It has a lot of great information on the health benfeits of tea.

Of course, make sure to return to teadog.com when you are ready to buy your Dilmah Tea.

More Madura Tea Soon

January 6, 2009 by teadog

Madura Tea is back in the US. We will soon have more stock of Madura Tea and even adding some new varieties.

The Madura Green Tea with Papaya is particularly good and a favorite around our office.

Many tea drinkers know about English, Irish, or Chinese tea. But, most are unfamiliar with Australian tea. Founded in 1978, Madura is today Australia’s leading specialist tea grower, blender and marketer of fine teas.

Today, Madura produces Australia’s best selling green tea. Madura has a range of Green teas, such Green and Papaya Leaf; Green and Jasmine; Green and Mint; as well as Green and Lemon. Madura’s vision is to foster and protect the natural environment within which its tea is grown.

In Australia, Madura Tea Estates is home to not only an array of rare and endangered native Australian flora, planted out by estate staff, but as a consequence of these endeavors is now home to native Australian perch, bass, platypus, tortoises, water fowl, a vast variety of birds, echidnas, wallabies and koalas.

Additionally, all external packaging from Madura teas contain recycled materials. Founded by Michael Grant-Cook and his wife Norma, Madura grows tea in Australia’s Tweed Valley, in northern New South Wales.

Best Tea Ads of 2008

December 31, 2008 by teadog

Here are our 2 favorite tea television commercials of the year.  If you think one of these is best, leave a comment.  We sell Lyons Tea but not Red Rose Tea (we just thought the Red Rose commercial was excellent.)  Both are simple and to the point.  (Note:  Since there are not a lot of tea televion commercials, these did not have to run in 2008.)
